Held on the SAS campus near the Research Triangle Park area of North Carolina, attendees enjoyed easy access to a rich array of universities and other cultural highlights. Bookmarked by museum tours, the 2023 program was intentionally crafted to start conversations, to allow attendees to question the status quo, and to provoke thoughtful exploration of our positions of power. Speakers included Raleigh restaurateurs, members of the Carolina Courage soccer team, wildlife biologists, as well as leaders in education, women’s healthcare, and workplace diversity. A talk and tour of Raleigh’s Dorothea Dix Park featured Raleigh Mayor Mary-Ann Baldwin and future Mayor Janet Cowell. Dr. Sreedhari Desai from the Kenan-Flagler Business School at the University of North Carolina at Chapel Hill run an influence and negotiation workshop.
