The 2026 Alumnae Summit in Cardiff, Wales, begins Tuesday, 18 August at 6:00 p.m. and runs until noon on Saturday, 22 August. It is bringing 50 of us together for fireside chats, panel presentations, and keynote-style talks. Add to that experimental learning and networking in museums, gardens, boats, and even Cardiff Castle.

The talks…

  • Authentic Leadership in a Changing World: The Power of Self Awareness from the Agar’s Dee Cooper and Rachel Symns. The brilliant team from Agar

    will open our activities with a facilitated session exploring how we show up as

    ourselves in our leadership practice.

  • Kindness in Leadership: Showing up as our Authentic Selves with Susie Hills, Caroline Dunne, and Beth Button. The session will be chaired by Sally-

    ann Efstathiou, Cardiff University Director of People and Culture, and will explore the role of kindness and leadership in challenging times.

  • Authenticity in an Age of Artificial Intelligence by Professor Gavin Shaddick. A skills-based session on the use of AI.

  • The Welsh Language and Historic Connections with the USA by Dr. Dylan Foster Evans of Cardiff University School of Global Humanities.

  • Leadership Learnings from Wales, chaired by Anne Morgan, Director of International, Cardiff University and featuring HWP alumna Helen Lentle, Claire Parmenter, and Gillian Baranski. A small but mighty country, Welsh leaders talk leadership and identity in a devolved nation.

  • Leading with Authenticity: Individual Journeys. Chaired by HWP alumnae Beth Colling and Pauline Milne. Fireside chats with inspirational leaders Simone Blake and Dame Shan Morgan.

  • Living Aloha: A Hawaiian Perspective of Power by HWP alumna Lyla Berg.

  • Authenticity and Leadership, the Next Generation. Chaired by HWP alumna Paula Sanderson. Featuring Cardiff University Student Union Leadership.
